Do I need to already have a co-therapist to start?

No. You can begin the Foundation Programme as an individual practitioner. Part of the Foundation experience involves understanding what makes an effective co-therapy partnership, and the Academy can help match you with a suitable partner before you progress to the Intermediate level.

Can I train entirely online?

The Foundation Programme offers fully online options. The Intermediate Programme includes a residential intensive component (four to five days) that is delivered in person, alongside online supervision and learning. We believe some elements of this work — particularly the experiential and relational aspects — are best learned face to face.

I’m trained in a single modality. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Many excellent practitioners begin with depth in one approach. The Duo Coaching Framework is integrative by design, and the training will broaden your repertoire. What matters is your willingness to learn and your commitment to working in the way that best serves each couple.

Is the certification recognised by professional bodies?

The Academy is actively pursuing accreditation pathways with recognised professional bodies. We are also in discussion with Middlesex University regarding a potential postgraduate certificate route. Current participants receive the Duo Coaching Academy’s own certification, which reflects a rigorous, supervised training programme.

What’s the investment?

Pricing for each level is published on the individual programme pages. Payment plans are available, and we offer group rates for practices or organisations enrolling three or more practitioners. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

How many places are available?

Cohorts are deliberately kept small to ensure the quality of teaching and supervision. Foundation cohorts are limited to twenty practitioners. We recommend applying early to secure your place.
